The Epiphone Les Paul Prophecy is part of the "Inspired by Gibson" collection that closely adheres to the classic Kalamazoo style. But don't let the old school vibe deceive you—there are enough modern twists to make this an extremely versatile player.
Front-and-center is a pair of custom Fishman Fluence pickups that deliver three distinct tones—PAF-style warm, active humbucker hot and a shimmering, slightly overwound single-coil sound. All are accessed via the push/pull volume and tone pots. Fluence pickups are hum- and noise-free, making the Les Paul Prophecy a perfect recording guitar.
The mahogany body is topped with AAA flame maple veneer and finished in aged vintage gloss. With Ultra-Modern weight relief, it's also a lighter Les Paul than those of the past. A solid core runs though the center, so it's less prone to feedback compared to a fully chambered body. The neck also has innovative refinements, including a SlimTaper asymmetrical profile for fast, comfortable play. Block and triangle pearloid/abalone inlays line the 24-fret ebony fingerboard.
