For almost 20 years, the Epiphone Performer PR-5E has been on stages all over the world with countless musicians. Designed by Epiphone in 1990, its distinctive body shape was patterned after Epiphone's classic ES-335 style guitars such as the Sheraton and Casino. But instead of a double-cutaway, the Performer PR-5E features a unique, single "Florentine" or sharp cutaway. The large lower bout provides excellent lows and a solid mid-range with easy access to the upper frets on the neck.
The Performer PR-5E features a premium select spruce top with a hand-scalloped, proprietary X-bracing pattern. Combined with the slightly arched mahogany back and mahogany sides, the Performer PR-5E provides a sweet tone that projects well even when unplugged. The select mahogany neck has a 25.5" scale and the SlimTaper profile makes the Performer PR-5E easy and comfortable to play long gigs and rehearsals. The Performer PR-5E features Premium Die-cast machine heads for tuning accuracy and stability along with premium gold hardware and split-diamond, pearloid fingerboard and Epiphone's Sloped Dovewing headstock.
The Performer PR-5E lives up to its name with Fishman electonics. Case not included.
